Pricing (proposed): per merged change
Proposed pricing. ModernCI is not on sale and nothing is billed. These rates may change before launch.
ModernCI is not released (Release status). This is the pricing we plan to launch with, published so you can judge it early. Payment is not built. Rates are versioned and will change as real usage data comes in.
The unit
Priced by merged change: one change that reached its target. Repos, users and agent hosts are unlimited. How a merged change is counted, and how cost per merged change is measured: Cost.
Proposed plans
100 merged changes a month
Every feature but SAML SSO. Then a hard stop, or, connected, pay as you go with a card. The standalone daemon works with no cloud and keeps working if we vanish.
500 a month, then $0.10
A month. Offline: a prepaid yearly licence. Checks on your machines cost nothing from us.
7,000 a month, then $0.07
A month. Team pays off above 5,000 changes a month. Enterprise: speak to sales.
| Free | Pro | Team | |
|---|---|---|---|
| merged changes included | 100 a month | 500 a month | 7,000 a month |
| after that | hard stop, or $0.15 each (pay as you go) | $0.10 each | $0.07 each |
| offline | hard stop at 100 a month | $1,000 a year for 10,000 | not offered |
| checks on your machines | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| a reused result | $0 | $0 | $0 |
Free has every feature but SAML SSO. Enterprise: speak to us. New orgs would get 30 days of Pro, with no card.
What "$0" means
- $0 from us for checks on your machines, and for a result reused from a stored result.
- Not $0 to you: your machines, their power and your agents' tokens are your costs. ModernCI records machine minutes and the agent spend your runtime reports, so you can see them. It never bills agent spend.
- ModernCI compute (our machines) would be optional and never bundled: one price per vCPU-minute, set before it launches.
License and support
- License: proprietary. The source is private.
- The standalone daemon works with no cloud link, and keeps working if the link goes away.
- Support terms are not set yet; early-access teams work with us directly.
